Admissions Policy 2020-21 consultation

Consultation on changing our Planned Admission Number (PAN) and Admissions policy

To all stakeholders and interested parties;

St Andrew’s High School for Boys, Worthing: Consultation on changing our Planned Admission Number (PAN) and Admissions policy

Proposal:

St Andrew’s has now begun the formal process to reduce the number of places from September 2020 as well as amending the admissions criteria in the Admissions Policy and wishes to consult with you on this proposal.

  1. We are proposing to reduce the Pupil Admission Number (PAN) from the current 210 per year group to 180 pupils per year group.
  2. Simplify/update the admissions criteria to comply with current legislation and for ease of understanding by all stakeholders.

The following factors have been taken into account when explaining our reasons for the proposed change:

  • Ease of financial planning and curriculum design.
  • Site and resources management will be more effective.

Timetable:

We will be consulting with all of our stakeholders until Friday 25th January 2019.

Following the consultation, Governors will meet to consider the views and make a decision on whether or not to proceed with the proposal.

If you have any comments you wish to make in respect of this proposal could you please forward them to Miss K Scanlon at the school address, by email to scanlonk@st-andrews-boys.org.uk or by telephone on 01903 820676.

Yours faithfully,

Ms L Welcome - Headteacher
